I’m very much monochrome and Scandinavian interior obsessed so adding a few pieces to my home from Matalan’s Tribal Trend was a challenge, but surprisingly the chosen items fit right in at home and proved to be the perfect solutions for a quick home refresh for the new year.
I didn’t go for the boldest tribal pieces, but pieces that fitted in with my theme. If you’ve come across my blog before you will already know that I’m a metallic interior hoarder, especially when it comes to copper and gold so the Copper Lanterns with LED Candles were a must – especially at this time of year I have candles everywhere in my living room. They are the perfect feature pieces for the fireplace and I love mixing copper with the neutral colours of my mantelpiece.
Secondly I’m so obsessed with geometric prints, and it looks like they are still going to be massively on trend this year so the Tribal Woven Geometric Cushion was a great addition to my sofa (Bean, my bat-pig frenchie modelling how comfy they are like a pro). The matching tribal chinab complete with gold edging is SO cute too, definitely need the collection for my monochrome dining area.
Lastly, I’ve been slowly adding indoor plants to my home in the last year but there are few that I can actually manage to keep alive – I’ve successfully killed two aloe vera plants so far so now I have a faux one that will live forever!
From the rest of Matalan’s collection, I particularly love the tribal theme for a monochrome bathroom feel – add some marble items and black metal additions for an industrial edge – My bathroom picks would be:
