Creating a Positive Environment at Home

Self-love and self-care are at the very core of the lifestyle I’ve been trying to create for myself. It’s not always easy to look after oneself, and it is something most of us overlook on a daily basis. Simple things help, from a warm cuppa curled up on the sofa with our favourite silly show on to a new dazzling pair of shoes, we ought to do more of what makes us happy.

Your environment will always have a strong impact on the way you feel, so it’s important to make it work for you. And it doesn’t take a lot of money, just a few tweaks and a positive attitude.

I’ve recently refreshed my bedroom because it’s the place where my day both starts and ends. So keeping things fresh there, means I can keep things fresh in my head too.

I love the romance and the peacefulness of a dimmed light so I went for this lantern and this candle. There’s something really soothing about them, especially with the plant on top, bringing a bit of mother nature in our room. The trinquet calls for a bit of vintage, which is always a good idea.

I wanted a wintery feel so went for white sheets but I can never stay away from bright colours so brought some in the mix with these mustard cushions. I love a mustard hue! Then I couldn’t resist these pompoms elephant cushions, they fit the airy brief with the white and the grey, whilst suggesting a bit of escape with the elephants. Nailed!
