When it comes to difficult Christmas tasks, wrapping sits high on the list – especially when you’ve got an awkward-shaped present on your hands. Gift wrapping expert and blogger, Jane Means, shows us how to take the stress out of wrapping with 6 easy steps on how to tackle a tricky-shaped tubed present.
Measure your paper first. You’ll need enough paper to go around with approximately a 3cm overlap. Ensure the edges are cut neatly.
Add some double sided tape on one of the edges into the centre, and stick the paper around the candle so it will resemble a tube.
Ensure the paper at both ends roughly comes up half way.
You will pleat both ends at a time. Pull the edge of the paper in to the centre all the way around and cut away any excess. Secure with double sided tape.
Repeat the same at the opposite end.
When you are adding ribbon on circular items, it’s a good idea to secure it with a small amount of double sided tape so the ribbon doesn’t fall off.
