Looks nice but poor function

This watch looks lovely and has nice flashing lights that my son loves. The watch however is uncomfortable to wear (rigid plastic straps) and resets the time every night. I don’t have time each morning to reprogram the watch. I’m guessing we have a faulty watch but I don’t have a nearby matalan to return it.
