LINGERIE FIT GUIDE

Finding the perfect fitting bra or brief can often be a struggle if you don’t know what options are available to you. Together with our Lingerie team we have come up with a guide that shows you what fit will best suit you and your shape.

BRA FIT GUIDE

Unsure on how a bra should fit? Read our step by step guide to ensure the perfect fit and how to check it sits right.

  1. The under-band should sit horizontally around the body. The band should feel firm but not tight and should remain in place even when arms are raised above your head.
  2. The wires should sit flat against the chest and around the contour of the breast without digging in or gaping.
  3. Make sure your bust sits comfortably inside the cups.
  4. You should not be able to feel seams or wires digging in. The whole breast should be contained without any bulging at the top, bottom or sides.
  5. Finally, the straps should be secure but not tight. They should give additional support, but not carry the full weight of the breast. Adjust to a length that feels comfortable for you.

WHAT BRA SIZE AM I?

We’ve worked with our in house quality assurance team to come up with some tips and advice on how to get the right size bra.

  1. Stand infront of a mirror in your current bra with it fastened on the middle hook position with the straps comfortable but not over adjusted, and check that the bra is the same level at the front and back.
  2. If it is level, you are wearing the correct band size.
  3. If the back is higher than the front, the underband is too big and you should try going down a band size. ie 36 to a 34.
  4. Next is to check the cup fit, the cups should contain the whole breast without any bulging or gaping. If you have no bulging or gaping you are wearing the right size.
  5. If you are bulging you need to try going up a cup size... ie C to a D.
  6. If you are gaping you need to try going down a cup size... ie C to a B.
