Whilst we don’t know when or where any of us can go come the summer holidays, as lockdown eases bit by bit, it got me thinking I need to get our wardrobes back in shape, and quickly!
The girls have grown so much in the last 3 months, whilst I definitely needed to buy some summer clothes that would fit - after weeks of leggings and t-shirts I’m also desperate to get them in some cute outfits that feel a little more polished and put together. Same for my husband and I!
We have so many places we want to get out to; we won’t need a summer holiday abroad at this rate! For the girls I love dressing them in matching outfits, it always melts my heart. These denim embroidered pinafore sets look super sweet, but are also handy enough for a busy day out and about. The pinafore comes with the t-shirt, which could be easily worn with something else. I was thinking it would be fun to try a stripe style under the pinafore too.
I'm all about positive thinking (and dreaming is a huge part of my outlook) which makes this the perfect t-shirt for me! A t-shirt and chinos is my day trip go-to: comfy, cool and colourful. Pastel tones are always my favourite.
We have been dreaming of a big family reunion, and whilst that may not yet be on the cards, I thought these wardrobe additions would be perfect once we can all get back together. My husband's style is simple, he's not into big prints or garish shirts but he loves the cool stripe of this cotton short sleeve. The collar is open and feels less structured than a classic button down, making it perfect for summer.
The girls’ outfits are just adorable, gingham checks and lace give the blouse a prairie feel and the matching shorts finish off the set perfectly. Sandals with a bit of glitz and glitter are a favourite of the girls, these white ones will go with absolutely everything.
For me - this linen shirt dress is a wear anywhere wardrobe addition. I love that it's so easy to dress up or down, it would look great for the beach on a holiday abroad (here's hoping), lovely with trainers for day trips, and dressy enough when worn heels like I have here for a special occasion.
Making the most of the lovely weather when we have it, have made picnics in the park a family day out we really cherish. And its something we are definitely going to make a big part of our summer holiday plans wherever we end up. The girls love floaty dresses - this cheesecloth cotton fabric is great for being out and about. The detailing is so cute on the shoulders and tassel straps too. I find these style floaty dresses a bit of a go-to for the girls as I can dress them up or down, they are great to throw in a suitcase, and look just as lovely on a beach or in a park.
