“I love this swimsuit, the cut of the bust makes it flattering for so many shapes and the colour is perfect!”

“I'm a big fan of cat eye sunglasses, they add a
retro touch to any outfit”

“These sandals are one of my favourite items on the site, the pom poms are great!”

“This maxi dress is so easy to slip on for the beach
or just for everyday wear ”

“I think so much of the Matalan holiday collection would be versatile for the changeable Bristish summer, I love this jump suit and you could wear it through to the evening (or if the weather got cooler) with a jacket”

Surviving a long journey

I’m a mum so long journeys generally involve entreating my two little ones. My top tip for that is always pack snacks and activities for them to do. We usually have an assortment of crayons and stickers to keep them busy. For the most part I'm so busy keeping them busy that I don't have time to get bored myself!

Top 3 places to visit in the UK for a weekend away this summer

1. I love Cornwall, especially St Ives. It's just so beautiful down there.

2. Another favourite would have to be West Wales, I grew up in the seaside
town of Aberystwyth and I'd definitely recommend a visit.

3. Lastly I'd have to say Bristol! I love the city I now call home, it's so beautiful especially
in the summer at the harbour side, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

My top 5 things to do when on a staycation this summer

1. First of all always ice cream, summer isn't summer unless you have a 99 in your hand!

2. We love to head down to Millennium Square and splash around
in the outdoor fountains there.

3. Bristol is also full of parks so picnics are a must, my favourites are Victoria Park and St Andrews park as they both have cafes that do a great flat white.

4. Over the summer holidays me and my neighbours set up street parties when the weather is good, we live in a cul de sac so this is perfect for BBQ and' playing out'.

5. Lastly in my opinion the perfect British summer needs to involve pimms! Cheers!
