This dress looked lovely on the website and I thought perfect to wear at a wedding later this year and even better still, in the sale. I ordered in a size 6 (and wish Matalan did more items in a size 6!) but was so disappointed when it arrived. The dress is way too long with the fish tail trailing along the floor - I am 5'46" and even too long when I wear heels. The material the dress is made of is cheap looking and the fabric very thick making it feel uncomfortable when you have on. The gathered bit across the bust area, looks nice in the online picture but is way too big - more like a size 8 - making it look baggy. Such a shame as the style of the dress is lovely but needs it to be shorter and made in thinner, silkier type of fabric.

The photo makes the material look silly but it's not. It's quite a heavy thicker material and not shiny at all. There are shoulder pads that sadly make the bodice a strange shape.

Bought for my niece's wedding! Excellent quality and value for money! Perfect fit (size 12)

Top part of dress very disappointing. Did not sit as shown in picture and looked big and bulky. Beautiful colour and bottom half sat & fitted perfect. Would have loved it to look like as shown. Far too much material on top for a size 6
