These are such good value - I wanted a bedside light with a heavy base and simple on/off touch control. If you're trying to get to sleep the last thing you want is to cycle through brighter light settings before turning the light off. Shades are a good quality and nice contemporary colour. It's also a decent height without being too wide - a tall glass on your bedside table doesn't interfere with the shade.
