#BeASuperstar2018

Your donations are helping Alder Hey to…

Lead a revolution in hospital food by providing ward chefs on each and every ward - fresh, nutritious food to support our young patient’s recovery.

Fund Play Specialists on every ward; ensuring that children are happy and calm during check-ups or treatment.

Support research into the prevention and treatment of rare orthopaedic diseases as well as having funded a new world class research and education building alongside Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

You’ve also helped to raise money for vital equipment on Alder Hey’s intensive care unit; bringing the very latest technology to support the development and wellbeing of the youngest and most vulnerable patients.

The Campaigns

Our relationship with the NSPCC really is quite special and we’re always heartened by all the hard work that goes into raising money for such a dynamic and worthwhile charity. Our staff and customers have done so well in helping us support the NSPCC – from sponsored mountain climbing and sky dives, to fun days and bake sales.

We are proud to support Look Say Sing Play - a brand new campaign from the NSPCC

The NSPCC's Look Say Sing Play campaign helps parents to turn everyday moments with their little ones in to brain-building ones. Whether it’s bathtime, bedtime, or you’re popping to the shops, playing with your baby, using silly voices, or even singing can build their brain right from birth.

We are proud to support the NSPCC's Talk PANTS campaign

Matalan is proud to support the NSPCC’s Talk PANTS campaign. The campaign helps parents to have simple conversations with their children about staying safe. Each letter of PANTS stands for a different rule: Privates are private, Always remember your body belongs to you, No means no, Talk about secrets that upset you, Speak up someone can help.

A message from Denise Van Outen: "As a mum, I know some conversations with your kids can be difficult. That’s why I’m delighted that Matalan are supporting NSPCC #TalkPANTS campaign – simple conversations to help keep your kids safe."

We raised £1.5million in 2014 and last year we opened the School of Hope in Bangladesh, providing education to young children in the poorest areas of Dhaka. We cannot thank our partners, staff and most importantly our customers for all the amazing support!
