The transition into Autumn/Winter has to be my favourite time of year. It’s perfect for chunkier knits, layering, boots and not forgetting those cosy outerwear pieces that really make an outfit. One of my key pieces has to be this corduroy fleece lined jacket, it’s great for adding that final layering piece to an outfit and keeps you nice and warm on a crisp day. I’ve styled it here with a flannel shirt, jeans and a pair of Chelsea boots.
For me, Autumn/Winter is all about the warm tones, layering up and keeping it. This navy bomber ticks all the boxes, it’s super warm and comfy and can be paired with a polo for brunch vibes, as I’ve done here, or a sweater and joggers for a more relaxed look. A shacket is another great piece for layering. This looks great with a pair of chinos and a Winter hat. It can be buttoned up as a shirt, or worn open as a jacket and layered over a white t-shirt for a fresh smart-casual look. Its practical and sharp, and the khaki pops against autumnal tones.
I really like this shacket as part of this look alongside the boots, it’s so easy to layer with most tops and a coat, or simply wear with a white t-shirt. I can also easily swap out the boots for some fresh white trainers for those dry, crisp Autumnal days. My top tip for this season is layers. Outfits can look so much more stylish with a couple of extra layers.
