What is World Book Day?
A celebration of books, authors and illustrators, World Book
Day is a unique way of bringing their favourite literary characters to life.
Taking place on Thursday 7th March 2019, the annual event sees school
children across the country dress up as their favourite storybook character
for the day. As well as putting fun at the forefront, World Book Day rejoices
timeless stories, inspires young minds and most importantly encourages children
to read more.

their imagination run wild
Known for creating some of literature's most captivating
characters, Roald Dahl certainly deserves an honorary mention during World Book
Day celebrations. Does your little one have a sweet tooth? Ok, who doesn’t,
especially when it’s wrapped inside a golden ticket! A magical place where
calories and cavities don’t exist, let your little chocoholic’s imagination run
wild dressed as master chocolatier Willy Wonka. Little dreamers tend to walk
around with their head in the clouds, similar to the 24-foot-tall BFG. They’ll
love putting on their big ears and join him on quest to distribute good dreams
to fellow children across the world. What better way to mark the wonder of
reading than by following in the footsteps of the iconic young intellect,

aboard the Hogwarts Express
Quicker than the wave of a wand, JK
Rowling had the entire world captivated when she introduced us to the
magically magnificent Harry Potter series. As a global phenomena that will live
forever, celebrate World Book Day with a sprinkle of magic. If your little
Muggle is on a quest to become a legendary wizard/witch following in the
footsteps of Harry
Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, their wish has been granted! Get
them ready for a magical trip to Hogwarts with the iconic Gryffindor hooded
robe dress-up costume. A Slytherin variation is also available for aspiring
masters of the Dark Arts who’d prefer to join Draco Malfoy and Professor Snape.
Weird, wacky & wickedly wonderful
Impress their classmates with something a little bit ‘out
there’ this World Book Day with the help of David
Walliams’ eccentric storybook characters. From the little lad who’s got it
Billionaire Boy, to the jewel-thieving Gangsta
Granny, bring the stories to life in the funniest way possible with our

children’s books that stand the test of time. If your little explorer is on the
hunt for their next big adventure, our Where’s
Wally and Where’s Wenda fancy dress costumes will have them jumping

not follow in the footsteps of Little
Red Riding Hood when it comes to visiting grandma after school? Just
remember to tread carefully to avoid

their wild side when they have permission to be naughty all day as they
impersonate Horrid Henry’s mischievous merriments.
