Spring’s almost here and we’re so excited for all the fresh style landing at Matalan. We gave five of our favourite influencers exclusive access to our new season collection and asked them to pick out their hero pieces for the season.
A polka dot dress is my hero piece for the new season. It’s so easy to be dressed up or down, plus monochrome polka dots are such a classic print that never really goes out of fashion. These amazing and very comfy sandals give me serious designer vibes too! Add a red lip and you could easily take this into night time.
I love this outfit because it will take me seamlessly from spring to summer. And with the trend of big collars, ruffles and gingham making a huge comeback this year, this frilled blouse is such a great way to dip your toe into the trend. It’s making a statement without being too over the top, and wearing it with denim ‘anything’ will really balance out the finished look.
This beautiful broderie collar jumper is the perfect item to add to your spring wardrobe. It’s comfortable, plus it perks up any sweater you have. I’ll wear mine with boyfriend jeans, they’re soft, flattering and skim over your curves. Finally, a denim jacket is a must in any spring wardrobe. This puff style design is a classic piece with an edge.
My new season wishlist always starts with building up a few key pieces that are standout but won't cost a fortune. This denim dress is perfect, it's easy to throw on and I love the length and button up shirt style. Today I've played around with accessories and paired it with trainers, a chic rucksack and jewelled headband for a bit of glam. Twinning with my daughter will be fun in this too, she loves denim as much as me!
This floral masterpiece of a midi put a real spring in my step and is a dress that can do it all. Wear with chunky boots and tights as we wait for spring to fully blossom or dress it up with heels. I went for the classic white trainer and denim jacket look. I love the jacket’s puff sleeve, plus it’s a short length on me without feeling cropped so works really well over dresses.
