We chatted to a few of our favourite bloggers about their own Christmas Eve box traditions, take a look for some fun ideas.
"We love the idea of giving your BFF a little pre-big day treat in the form of a Christmas Eve box, especially as we rarely see each other on Christmas Day – so we can celebrate together the day before. We're both obsessed with list making, so know the other will appreciate some cute personalised stationery plus a super soft faux fur hot water bottle will be the best bedtime companion all through winter!"

"My perfect Christmas Eve box would be filled with cosy, snuggly and warm things, that sum up those amazing Christmas vibes you feel on Christmas Eve (best day of the year, no?) Mine would be wrapped in Christmas paper and have a magical feel. First things first we need a pair of Christmas PJs don’t we! And you can’t have festive PJs without some slippers (novelty of course and some warm and comfy socks) – and while we are getting snuggly we need a cosy blanket to get wrapped up in! This is the start of dressing for Christmas and getting us in the mood! Next to enhance the mood further throw in a beautiful Christmas candle, maybe a spiced apple scent along with a lovely big mug of hot chocolate filled marshmallows…..now that’s what I call getting properly festive. Don’t forget the sweet treats like candy canes and selection box faves, or maybe a mince pie or three. I would definitely give a Christmas Eve box to my bffs as they are my support network and they all deserve one."
"The items I would put in a Christmas Eve box to make the perfect evening and get in the mood for Christmas Day would be: pyjamas/socks to cosy up on the sofa with and the Elf DVD, my all time favourite festive film. A Christmas mug with hot chocolate and marshmallows served with ginger cookies for dunking. A winter candle to burn away in the background. A little surprise present to unwrap – we always had this rule growing up that you were allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve. I would gift this box to my husband as he is not home every Christmas as he works away a lot, when he is home and we get to spend it together and I like to make it special for him."
"We do Christmas Eve gift boxes!!! We do those already!! Now you've got me excited for Christmas. Every Christmas Eve we go to our local village church for the Christingle service. Whilst the kids aren't looking we leave their Christmas Eve boxes by the fireplace. We've told them that it's the elves getting us ready for the festivities. When we come home they come running in and Christmas feels like it's truly upon us. This is also when we grown ups get to whack the first melty camembert in the oven. We fill up a box for each of The Reds (our daughters) - it's usually got a pair of special Christmas pyjamas, a novelty mug, some marshmallows, a sachet of hot chocolate, one DVD between the two and a little food bag filled with glitter and porridge oats to sprinkle outside for the reindeer to eat, then Father Christmas can climb down our chimney and taking a nibble of the mince pies."
