Looking after you, your family and our colleagues is always our top priority. When you visit your local store, you’ll notice we have extensive hygiene and social distancing measures in place to keep you all safe.
We’re all in this together and we all need to play our part in keeping everyone safe. Floor markers around the store will help you keep a safe distance while in store, plus we have reduced the number of people allowed in store and changed the layout so you have more space.
READY FOR BAGS OF PARKING
Most of our stores are on retail parks with large car parks and lots of space available. You should have plenty of room to park a safe distance away from others when travelling to our stores.
READY TO SHOP YOUR WAY
If you’re not ready to come and see us in store just yet, there’s loads of other ways you can shop. Our website and app are open 24/7, with delivery options to suit you. You can choose to get it sent straight to your door with Home Delivery, or use Click & Collect to pick it up from store at a time that’s convenient for you.
OUT OF TOWN STORES
Luckily, most of our stores locations are out of town, so you'll be able to avoid any busy hotspots when heading to your local Matalan. Being out of town makes it much easier and safer to keep your space while visiting.
Here are some of the measures we have in place to help keep you safe:
• Hand sanitiser and cleaning products provided at store entrances so you can clean your basket or trolley.
• An enhanced cleaning regime with cleaning throughout the day, including regularly disinfecting high touch points such as door handles, lift buttons and hand-rails.
• Monitoring the number of customers allowed in store, and we’ve changed the layout so you have more space, with space for queueing outside if the store is full.
• Screens at tills, alongside personal protective equipment for our team.
• Fitting rooms are open for self service and cleaning materials are provided for you to use.
• Please wear a mask or face covering in store unless you have a valid government exemption.
Returns policy extended
Our returns policy has been reviewed in line with the changes to government restrictions. For items purchased from 1st October, we will issue a refund or exchange within 14 days of our stores re-opening.
Due to the difficulties surrounding Covid-19, we're also temporarily updating our policy on returning items bought in the sale. We will issue a refund or exchange for items bought in our sale within 14 days of our stores re-opening.
Items must be returned with the original receipt, unworn and in the condition they were purchased, including all packaging. The refund will be issued on the method of payment you used.
Our stores in England have now reopened in line with government guidance. Click and Collect is also available.
You can shop safely in our spacious stores and there’s plenty of parking at our out of town retail parks too. Our safety measures go above and beyond the government requirements and our colleagues are there to help you follow the guidance and keep your distance.

You can return items that were bought online to stores that are open. You must bring the invoice from your parcel, as the refund cannot be processed without.
