“I chose this outfit because it’s really comfortable, it’s really cool and I love the elasticated waist. Mother’s Day is a really special occasion but I also want to look really chic and stylish, so this for me is the perfect outfit.”
We spoke to @thefashionablepan about her other favourite looks for Mother’s Day. Whether she’s starting her day with a coffee outing or a stroll in the park, her fail-safe look is always jeans, a nice top and trainers. She also likes to mix it up with a pretty midi dress finished with a chic jacket.
Want to take your look from day to night? No fear, @thefashionablepan tells us she’ll always leave the house in flats and carry her heels to change into; it’s all about comfort but not compromising on style!
What’s the best thing about being a mum?
The joy and unconditional love that your children give you. It’s the best job in the world and the most rewarding. Knowing that you’ve created these little humans, who can easily make you well up with happiness by what they say and do. Being a mum really makes me happy and proud.
Has motherhood changed you?
I certainly worry a lot more and sleep a lot less! But I wouldn’t change it. It’s made me the most happy and gives me the love, strength and motivation everyday to be the best example to them. And it’s taught me to bare all the emotions I hid away. It’s really inspired me as a person.
How will you spend your Mother’s Day?
We always start the day with just us; me, the hubby and our kids. They surprise me with flowers and a card they’ve made themselves. We then have a get together with the rest of our families and feast on a huge pub lunch or early dinner round my sister in laws. It’s always a fun and happy occasion.
